what we accept and where it goes
We accept all types of clothing donations, but our biggest focus is on warm winter gear. Items that can make the difference between life and death during Canada’s harsh cold months. Jackets, hoodies, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, blankets, sleeping bags. If it helps someone stay warm, we’ll do everything we can to get it directly into the hands of someone who needs it.
For items that aren’t seasonally urgent, like summer clothing or lighter shoes, we still accept them and make sure they get to local shelters here in Ottawa. Every piece helps. Whether it’s for today’s freezing nights or tomorrow’s warmer days, your donation supports people in real, tangible ways.

When you choose to donate directly to Eleven Percent, your support goes straight into the streets. In the winter, we use monetary donations to create care packages with essential cold-weather items like hand warmers, new socks, gloves, hats, and sleeping bags. In the warmer months, we shift our focus to essentials like hygiene products, food, and clean water. We also use donations to support our outreach work, including our Hearts Over Hunger project. Through this initiative, we partner with local restaurants to purchase meals in bulk and hand them out directly to people living on the streets. Every dollar helps us reach more people, more often, with real support when it's needed most.
